"Perfect. Out popped one dozen absolutely gorgeous, fluffy and delicious chocolate cupcakes. The final cupcake was nothing short of spectacular. To say that they didn't last long is an understatement - everyone who tasted them agreed that they were some of the best cupcakes they have had. If you are looking for a quick mix that produces an impressive, professional quality cupcake, look no further than Dollhouse Bake Shoppe. I can't wait to try more of their gourmet flavors!" "The cupcakes came out of the oven and looked perfect. After they cooled, I used the decorating bag to pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes. Verdict: Delicious! My husband especially liked these cupcakes. He said they even tasted gourmet. I thought he was just saying that to make me happy, but the cupcakes kept disappearing one by one. I would recommend this Do-It-Yourself Cupcake Kit if you are looking for higher quality cupcakes than your normal grocery store box mix and don't want to pay a cupcake shop premium." -Elise @ Cupcakes Take The Cake (Click here to see her full review)
"Preparing the mix was a snap. I used a single bowl and the only ingredients I needed to add were milk, eggs, and butter. They were rich and dense in the best sense of the word--thick and cakey and packed with vanilla flavor. The frosting, which was a simple chocolate buttercream, I had a hard time keeping my fingers out of the bowl. Forget sticky-sweet Peeps—these cupcakes are the perfect Easter treat. My husband and I kept marveling at their homemade flavor. If you are a fan of Cupcake Wars, you should definitely try these mixes out." -Lucy Baker @ Serious Eats.com
"Forget Sprinkles! Dollhouse Bakery has the best cupcakes I've ever had. I had the chance to try 3 of their bite-size cupcakes at the Yelp Elemental event last night and I may have made some inappropriate sounds while consuming them... they were THAT good. I tried Pina Colada, Chocolate Espresso and S'more, and each one was amazing. The frosting melts on your tongue and while I'm not usually a huge fan of the actual cake part, it blew me away. My favorite was definitely the S'more. It doesn't hurt that the cupcakes are adorable! I can't wait to try the rest of their flavors and maybe one of their cakes for my birthday...." -Brooke A. in CA
"Dollhouse offers some of the best mini-sized cupcakes around! The cupcakes were rich, just the right amount of sweetness, and were literally a little bite of sin. They were adorable. The staff was very friendly and they were able to answer our questions. I walked away with a business card and will be recommending them to friends and family in the area. Thanks for the samples Dollhouse!" -Trina D. in CA
"Eating their bite sized cupcakes was a highlight of my night. I enjoyed the delectable treats so much I passed by their table 5 times. I couldn't stop myself... Yup, that's how good the cupcakes are. I'm hoping to buy from them soon." -Anette N. in CA

Hi Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy getting your email newsletters! Even though I have yet to make something, after reading your newsletter I certainly INTEND to make whatever you featured! So thank you so much.
I have two questions for you:
1. Do you have a video link to your Season Two Cupcake Wars episode?
2. When you say one cup of flour, what is the weight? (I bought a food scale and try to weigh my ingredients because "they" say it is more accurate.)
