Edible Football Stadium: "Snackadium"!

Football playoffs are in full swing and Superbowl is just around the corner! If your house is anything like mine, Sunday has been taken over by Football-day since the season began. So to surprise the guys who invade my living room practically every Sunday, I decided to surprise them with a SNACKADIUM! If you have never heard of a "snackadium" before, think of everything that encompasses a typical Sunday afternoon football game at home... chips, snacks, pizza and of course football. 

I created a queso/guacamole/salsa dip football field with pizza dough goal posts and chocolate pretzel stadium lights. It is urrounded by popcorn, cheese puffs, mini pepperoni pizza calzones, chips, snack mix and crescent/sausage "fans" outside!


To make my "Snackadium" I started with a large roasting pan for the stadium and 2 square pans for the field.


I cut one side off the two square pans and overlapped them to create a rectangle for the field in the center and filled the area around it with popcorn as a base.


I sectioned the "stadium" into sections using different snacks for a fun variety of treats.


I also made mini pepperoni pizza calzones with Pillsbury refrigerated Pizza Crust, between the cheese puffs and tortilla chips (Recipe coming soon!) and stadium lights from pretzel rods and chocolate Kisses.


Once my stadium was full, I filled the field with dip. I created two foil barriers so the sections would stay separated and filled each section with queso dip, guacamole and salsa, smoothing with an offset spatula.


To create thewhite lines on the field, put some sour cream of cream cheese in a plastic bag, snip off the corner and pipe onto the field.


For goal posts, I assembled strips of pizza dough and brushed a water/food coloring mixture over the dough and baked until firm.


Stick each goal post in the end zones and add a football out of snack mix and your field is ready!


And what's a football game without fans? To complete the look, I rolled some little cocktail weenies in Pillsbury refrigerated crescent roll dough, leaving a little "head" poking out of the top. I painted different color shirts and hair pieces with a food coloring/water mixture and baked.


I finished the look with cream cheese/sprinkle eyes and toothpick (or pretzel stick) arms. I also made festive little cheese flags for the fans to hold.
