Has there ever been a time when you wish you could turn the clock back and re-do it the right way from the start? I call these my do-over moments. I think I have these moments a little too often than not in the kitchen, especially when I am excited about trying a new recipe or tasting my newest creation. Even the smallest things make me wish I had more do-over moments. Like wishing I could have a do-over moment and choose to soak my piping tips in warm water, instead of just throwing them in the sink to later have to deal with scrubbing the stuck on icing in the tiny crevasses of the tip.
Do-over moments in the kitchen happen to be ever so common for many other people too, so Frigidaire has come up with a solution for one of them... the dish do-over moments. "The Frigidaire Gallery™Dishwasher gets dishes fully cleaned the first time, so there are no dish do-overs. Nearly half of adults admit to re-washing and/or re-drying dishes after the dishwasher cycle has been completed. To prevent dishwasher do-overs, Frigidaire® is stepping in with its new Gallery® Dishwasher featuring the OrbitCleanTM Wash Arm, ensuring dishes are cleaned right the first time."
My do-over moments don't stop at the dishes though. How about wishing I had just let the butter come to room temperature before adding it to the recipe, instead of trying to microwave it soft, but accidentally melting it to the point of no return? Or rushing through the recipe instead of taking the time to sift the dry ingredients, and ending up with dry cocoa powder clumps in your cupcakes.
Or how about not using an oven thermometer to make sure you oven is properly calibrated and scortching your cake right before the party!
And I can't even count the times I have forgotten to grease or line the pan before pouring in the batter out of excitement to get it in the oven, only to end up trying to pry it away from the pan, crumbling as I try and remove it.
How about cooking your egg whites over too high of a heat and accidentally cooking them into scrambled eggs instead of smooth meringue? Do-over please!
