I made these spooky spiders while making my Oreo truffle rats. They are basically made the same way except I coated the cookies & cream truffle mixture in chocolate for the spiders, while I coated the rats in cookie crumbs, for different textural effects. I tried using different sprinkles for the eyes of the spider than I did for the rats, but either way works fine. Try them both for a truly spooky Halloween dessert spread, and let me know how they turned out!
Roasting your own homemade pumpkin seeds is half the fun of carving a pumpkin. After carving my cupcake jack-o-lantern yesterday, I made sure to rinse off the seeds and let them dry overnight to start experimenting on some gourmet pumpkin seed flavors. This delicious healthy snack is quick and easy and fun to make. Get creative and season them just like popcorn! Experiment and try different fun flavor combinations.
After posting a ton of sweet Halloween treat tutorials, I am so excited to share my cupcake jack-o-lantern tutorial with you! I have been waiting all year for Halloween to come around so I could carve a cute little cupcake jack-o-lantern :) It was so fun to make and pretty easy too! I hope you like it and if you try it out, be sure to share a picture on our Facebook page, (or email a photo to MyCreation@dollhousebakeshoppe.com) so I can see how it turned out and feature your photo!
These cute Witch hats are perfect for a Halloween party place setting, a fun addition to the dessert table, or a treat for your class or office. All you need to do is stuff some sugar cones with rice crispy treats and cover in chocolate!
After posting a poll on the Dollhouse Bake Shoppe Facebook page, you guys told me you wanted to see just as many creepy & spooky treat tutorials as Cute & friendly, this Halloween. So, like my Bloody Jelly Donut Eyeballs, these are not for the squeamish, as they are pretty hard to take a bite out of, with out cringing at the thought of chomping into a rat! But when I tell you that these beady eyed rodents are made up of a cookies & cream truffle mixture, adorned with sprinkles and chocolate chips, you won't think twice once you sink your teeth into them. Especially when I tell you my original idea was to have a Marciano cherry center, using the stem as the tail. Yet biting into gushing red cherry "organs" seemed a little too gruesome. After all, this is Dollhouse Bake Shoppe, a world of tiny whimsical, pink, sparkly, sweetness. My next Halloween treat will be cute & friendly, I promise ;)
Creepy bubbling Witch's brew, that is so delicious, you'll want to eat the entire pot! These cauldrons are made out of a donut hole, some green frosting and candy accents. They are simple to make and make a fun Halloween party treat.
Creepy skeleton bones made out of pretzel sticks covered in vanilla flavored Toostie Rolls! Serve a bag of bones at your Halloween party, or use them to top your cupcakes for s spooky Halloween treat. The most fun part of all is the CRUNCH when you chomp down on these little bones.
Whether you celebrate Halloween with cute and friendly witches, or creepy, old witches with green faces and warts on their chin, these witch hat and broom stick are perfect for the occasion. You can make these itty bitty witch acessories to eat as they are, or use them as cupcake toppers on top of a mound of "witch green" frosting to resemble a melted witch! Either way, they are super simple and so much fun!
These gruesome goodies will have everyone's eye on the dessert table! To start, all you need is a box of powdered donut hole "eyeballs". Stab them with a fork, take a bite, and watch the jelly "blood" gush out.
