Take an ordinary starter, and put a fun, festive twist on it by serving your bread and biscuits this Thanksgiving with spiced maple butter instead of regular! It is so simple to whip together and gives a lovely Autumn inspired touch to a traditional dinner item.

Spiced Maple Butter
Yield: 1/4 cup butter (double recipe for a larger portion)
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup salted butter, room temperature (if using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt)
- 1-2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon
Directions
With an electric mixer, beat all ingredients together until well combine and fluffy. Serve with warm bread or biscuits.
