Patriotic Cupcake Push Pops

I created these cute little patriotic cupcake push pops for 4th of July but you can really customize the color combo to match any theme!



Ingredients
  • White Cake Mix (plus ingredients listed)
  • Red and Blue Food Coloring
  • Buttercream Frosting
  • Piping Bag
  • Patriotic Star Confetti Sprinkles
  • Push Pop Container


Directions

Prepare cake batter as directed and divide into two small bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring, creating one bowl of blue batter and one bowl of red batter. You can get creative and use any color combination in this step to match the theme of your occasion.

Spray mini cupcake/muffin pan with non-stick spray and bake as directed (without cupcake liners). Let cupcakes cool completely before assembling.

Fill piping bag, fitted with a small star tip, with icing.

Push your push pop container all the way up and pipe a layer of frosting on the bottom of the push pop container. Add sprinkles.


Gently press red cupcake into frosting and pull push pop container down to create room for the second cupcake.


Frost the top of the red cupcake and add more sprinkles.


Gently press the blue cupcake on top and add another layer of frosting and sprinkles.


Add tops to your push pop containers and pack, ship or add a custom sticker or tg for gift giving! Try layering different colors with themed confetti sprinkles to match any holiday or theme party.
